Messing up

Colors of many kinds

Sit around me and shine

I dip my brush in red

For a freely and richly spread.

The canvas needs lil brighting up

So I soak my fingers blue

With a cheer splash it up

Oh I scream what a hue!

I hear the footsteps nearing

My father’s presence surrounding

Standing tall right behind me

He looks at the mess around me.

My imperfections creeping out

He really doesn’t mind how it all turns out

He only does a bit of straightening out

Main to Him is my creativity to come out.

PS. I wrote this when I had this picture come to mind while reflecting back in the way my life has shaped up. The kinds of job I did and the kind of choices I made…
